BULLEH SHAH’S PHYLOSOPHY OF WORSHIPING GOD !
In this clip Guru Maharaj Ji shares a message where Bulleh Shah, despite belonging to the religion of Islam, follows a path where he follows the steps of the true spiritual master for the enlightenment of God.
Bulleh Shah follows the philosophy of choosing a Guru/True Holy Master.
Reading the Holy Scriptures alone throughout his life did not connect him with Almighty God. However, in the presence of his Guru/Holy Master, Bulleh Shah attained the real knowledge of God from within.
Seeing Bulleh Shah's immense devotion towards his Guru, all the family members turned against him, they even filed a complaint against him. Despite the pressure imposed by his family and society, Bulleh Shah did not worry and dedicated his life to the service of his Guru. His own father complained to the high ranking saints of Islam, saying;
“My son no longer attends mosques, does not read Islamic holy texts or follow the norms of our religion.”
Bulleh Shah used to be a great follower of Islam and a person with advance knowledge of all the Islamic Holy scriptures. Fear arose among the people of the Muslim community regarding the reputation of their religion. They all decided to go to Bulleh Shah's house, thinking of reforming him -
They were furious to see Bulleh Shah sitting on all the Islamic Holy books.
Everyone present there became very angry and asked Bulleh Shah the reason for such behavior;
Bulleh Shah said why should I not sit on these?
All my life I have been worshiping these Holy scriptures, none of them have brought me the knowledge of Almighty God!
Now I am going to set fire to all these scriptures in front of you.
Everyone disliked such reaction of Bulleh Shah and snatched all his holy scriptures from his place.
Concluding all above, it’s necessary for us to walk on the path of spirituality in the company of True Saints, without a Holy Guru no soul can attain the path of knowledge of Almighty God.
