Kale Khan's tale of surrendering with heart to the will of the Divine.
In the holy city of Brij, there is an idol of Lord Krishna, and it is named Shree Madan Mohan. Among the natives was a Muslim fellow by the name of Kale Khan, who was employed as a sweeper near the temple. As a member of another religion, he never entered the temple campus. One day, the servant who cleaned within the temple was absent, and Kale Khan was instructed to do the job. He entered the sanctum unwillingly for the first time.
While cleaning, he encountered the holy eyes of Thakur Ji. It was an unexplainable feeling—something awoke deep within him. He felt as if Thakur Ji was searching into his very soul. Kale Khan departed from the temple that day, but the recollection of that divine moment remained, echoing within his heart. He returned the following day to behold the Diety and experienced the same thing with the shaking of his hands and divine power running through him as he sees to the Krishna's eyes.
He who used to recite Alah Alah began the chanting of Thakur Thakur within in. Unable to resist the pull, Kale Khan returned to the temple the next day, wished to get the divine sight of Thakur again and seeing into Thakur Ji’s eyes again.
The connection today was stronger than before. Despite societal and religious constraints, Kale Khan felt an unwavering devotion growing within him. He decided to worship Lord Krishna as his deity. Adopting Hindu traditions, he began wearing a red tilak, attending kirtans, and participating in spritual satsangs. His fellow men in his society mocked him, saying that he had deny his own religion of being muslim
They threatened him that Allah would punish him, but Kale Khan was determined. Disregarding the shame, he kept practicing and serving Thakur Ji with steadfast belief.
One day, his wife, who was also influenced by other people's sarcasm, scolded him. She was frustrated and questioned his piety, stating, "If your Thakur Ji is true and your faith is real, why hasn't your thakur ji blessed us with a child yet? Although we have had a long marriage, we don't have a child." Kale Khan, who listened patiently, did not vacillate. He went in humility to Thakur Ji and prayed sincerely,
"Thakur Ji, my wife has instructed me to seek Your blessing for a child.". You are the Lord of the entire universe. Could you please mercy us for a child for my wife to see my God showers mercy .” Miraculously, within a week, Kale Khan and his wife were blessed with a baby boy. Overjoyed, they saw this as a indication to Thakur Ji’s grace.
Years passed, and when the boy was ten years old, they face a misfortune. One day, a child was bitten by a death-dealing snake and pronounced dead. When kaleh khan got the news of his child death he was in the temple . However, rather than going home, he proceeded to the temple.
Seated before the idol of Thakur Ji, he lamented, "Thakur Ji, You are all-knowing. You gave me this child and now have taken him away from me. Everything is done at Your will.". I am Yours, and whatever You do, I accept. Whether You restore my child's life or it is his predestined fate, it is all Your will." Kale Khan sat calmly at the feet of Thakur Ji, deeply contemplating Him, unmoved by the grief of his child's death. Even though he had unshakable faith, the masses of his Muslim community started taunt him. They laugh at his faith in Lord Krishna and wondered what he would do next—whether he would burn the child according to Hindu customs or follow Muslim burial procedures.
They used bitter words filled with derision.
During all this upheaval, something miraculous happened. The child suddenly woke up, and as his mother clutched him in amazement, the boy said, "Mother, where is the prince with the fair face and peacock feather in His crown? " His mother, amazed, requested him to clarify.
The child went on, "The one who put His flute on my heart and said, 'Wake up, child. Your abba waits for you, and your mother is worried about you.". Get up." On hearing the words of the boy, the multitude was left in amazement. They ran to the temple, where Kale Khan was sitting at the feet of Thakur Ji, immersed in contemplation.
When they informed him of the incident, the devotion of Kale Khan and the mercy of Thakur Ji became the subject of everyone's discourse.
Word of this miraculous event spread wide and far, and individuals from far-off lands came to see the grace of Thakur Ji and the unflinching faith of His servant, Kale Khan. This event was a reminder of the unlimited mercy of Lord Krishna and the strength of pure devotion. As a devotee becomes fully devoted to God, worldly life may pose trials and tribulations to prove their faith.
But those who stand firm and remain patient are in the end blessed by God, not only with answers to their adversity but also with the favors of divine acceptance and favors. Kale
