Lord Krishna Duryodhan Dharma vs Adharma

Lord Krishna, Duryodhan, and the Eternal Battle of Dharam vs Adharma

Once, Lord Krishna approached Duryodhan to discuss the distribution of land for the Pandavas.

Lord Krishna asked him to grant just five small regions near Meerut to the Pandavas, allowing them to live in peace, while keeping the vast rest of the kingdom for himself.

“Lord Krishna said to Duryodhan:

The Pandavas were content with this fair settlement. They are content with receiving just five villages near Merrut - Panipat, Baghpat, Sonipat, and two others. The rest of the vast kingdom shall remain under your rule.”.

But Duryodhan, filled with arrogance, refused outright. He declared,
“I will not give the Pandavas even a speck of land—not even the space that can be covered by the tip of a needle.”

Hearing this, Lord Krishna calmly reminded him,
“Duryodhan, such words and such decisions are against dharma. This is not righteousness, this is adharma.”

To this, Duryodhan defiantly replied,
“I was born to oppose dharma. I live by adharma, I breathe adharma, and every decision I take will be rooted in it. I do not care for dharma.”

When Lord Krishna confronted Duryodhan and said, You are intentionally walking the path of Adharma,”
 Duryodhan boldly replied, “Yes—I am.”

It was at that very moment Lord Krishna resolved to guide the world by standing firmly with the Pandavas, upholding the eternal truth of Dharma. Thus, the great battle of the Mahabharat became inevitable—a divine war where Dharma would ultimately triumph over Adharma.
