Maa Parvati Guru Bhakti Divine Faith

🌺 Guru Bhakti of Maa Parvati: A Divine Tale of Faith and Determination 🌺

🔱 The Rebirth of Divine Shakti

Maa Sati, in her previous birth, sacrificed herself in the sacred fire during the Yagya held by her father King Daksha. The Yagya was conducted without inviting Lord Shiva and was filled with insults against him. Unable to bear the disrespect towards her Lord, Maa Sati ended her physical existence and merged back into the divine energy — Bhagwati Shakti.

She later reincarnated as Maa Parvati, the daughter of King Himavan and Queen Maina. From a young age, her divine nature was evident.

🙏 Narad Ji — The Divine Guru

In her childhood, Maa Parvati had the fortune of meeting Sage Narad Ji — the great spiritual master who had also guided Bhakt Dhruv, Prahlad, and even the sons of King Daksha, turning them toward devotion.

As Narad Ji arrived, chanting “Narayan Narayan,” his divine aura filled the surroundings. Parvati, with folded hands and a bowed head, touched his feet and humbly asked,
“Will you become my Guru?”

Narad Ji blessed her and said,
“You are none other than Adi-Shakti. You have taken this birth to reunite with Lord Shiva.”

These words engraved themselves in her heart. She asked for guidance to fulfill this purpose. Narad Ji agreed and gave her the sacred mantra:

“Sham-B-Sada Shiv”

🔥 Intense Tapasya Begins

Maa Parvati began meditating deeply. She stopped eating food, surviving only on Bel Patra that fell from nearby trees. Her body became thin and fragile like a stick, earning her the name “Aparna” — one who doesn't even eat leaves (‘parna’ means leaf).

Despite harsh conditions, she continued chanting:
“Sham-B-Sada Shiv”, day and night, with unwavering faith in her Guru’s words.

👣 The Test by Saptarishis

Seeing her intense penance, Lord Shiva sent the Saptarishis to test her devotion. All Saptrishis  disguised as old saints approached and questioned her:

“Why are you meditating so intensely, O Devi?”
“You wish to marry Lord Shiva? That’s impossible.”

They mocked her, questioned her purpose, and even tried to discredit her Guru, Narad Ji.

But Maa Parvati replied firmly:

“Even if I am nothing, I have faith in my Guru’s words. He is my guide. What he has said is eternal truth. I do not even see Lord Shiva in my meditation — I only remember the command of my Guru.”

“Those who insult their Guru walk the path of destruction. I will fulfill my purpose, come what may.”

Hearing this unshakable resolve and supreme Guru Bhakti, the sages bowed before her and blessed her.
