Rani Ratnavati -Faith Over Fear

In this Sakhi, Guru Maharaj Sant Trilochan Darshan Das Ji teaches us that do not be afraid of whatever life brings to us, accept it with full faith in Almighty God.

Moving forward towards the path of Almighty God will face unbearable difficult challenges of life, but those who have full faith in the mercy of God learn lessons in life for the betterment of the society.

Rani Ratnavati was a disciple of Krishna and the queen of Ajmer (Rajasthan), daughter-in-law of King Prithviraj Chauhan. Her husband Raja Madhav Singh did not like Queen Ratnavati's extreme devotion towards Lord Krishna and asked her to give up her devotion and live life as per the wishes of the king.

Rani Ratnavti fearlessly left the King and went to her Guru –Ashram to live rest of her life, devoting her energy in bhakti , nam simran, singing kirtans along with her dasi’s.

Her Guru made her a small residence to stay inside the premises along with her dasi’s .

This incident created aggression in King Madhava and forced him to formulate a strategy to take revenge for disobeying the king's order. He conspired to kill Rani Ratnavati and her guru by releasing a lion in Rani Ratnavati's guru ashram.

With the idea of forcing the lion to eat Queen Ratnavati and her guru, the lion was not given food for more than the required number of days.

As soon as the lion entered her guru's ashram, queen maid’s shouted, O queen, the lion has entered, on this the fearless queen Ratnavati said,

"O Lord Narasimha has come."

Queen Ratnavati became so engrossed in her devotion to Krishna that she asked her maid to open the doors of her hut, so that she could welcome Krishna in the form of Lord Narasimha incarnation.

As soon as the lion reached Queen Ratnavati, Rani Ratnavati applied tilak on the lion's forehead, believing in Krishna Narasimha incarnation.

This incident lead the lion head back to the jungle and the lion attacked the ones who bring lion to the Ashram instead of Rani Ratnavati.
