Silent Miracle Guru Maharaj Darshan Das Ji Buffalo Rescue

The Silent Miracle of Guru Maharaj Darshan Das Ji

Once, a buffalo belonging to Bhaa Jagdeep Singh fell deep into a well. The well was extremely deep, and snakes were lying at the bottom. Bhaa Jagdeep Singh was a devoted follower of Maharaj Darshan Das Ji. When the villagers heard about the incident, they began teasing and laughing at him. They mocked him, saying, “Now call your Baba Ji! You praise him all day—let him show his power and save your buffalo.

These taunts hurt Jagdeep Singh’s self-esteem. Disturbed, he rushed to Guru Maharaj Darshan Das Ji’s home, calling out, “Baba Ji! Baba Ji!” Breathless and worried, he stood before Guru Ji.

Before Jagdeep could explain, Guru Maharaj Ji gently said,
Jagdeep, you have come to me because of the villagers’ words. They challenged you, saying you take the name of Baba Ji of Batala all the time. You should have come from your heart, not because of their comments.

But come, let’s go. I will show them God’s power. Take me there.”

Jagdeep placed Guru Ji on the back seat of his bicycle and pedaled toward the well. The villagers were already gathered there, whispering mockingly, “Look, look! Jagdeep and his Baba have come. Now let’s see if he can get the buffalo out.”

Guru Ji smiled calmly at them and said,
“Dear villagers, please go back to your homes. This matter concerns only me and Jagdeep Singh. You will see the buffalo outside the well shortly. We do not need your help.”
Guru Ji did not wish to reveal divine power in front of everyone, so he asked them to leave.

The villagers walked away angrily. Guru Ji then asked the Sarpanch to stay, saying,
“At least one person should remain so that he can speak the truth—that the buffalo was rescued by me.”

Guru Maharaj Darshan Das Ji went near the well, performed a small parikarma, and asked both Jagdeep and the Sarpanch to step far back.
“Stand on the other side. I will call you when needed,” he said.

Guru Ji then sat quietly beside the well with his eyes closed for a few minutes. After some time, he stood up and called Jagdeep.
Jagdeep hurried over, asking, Guru Maharaj Ji, has the buffalo been rescued?”
Guru Ji replied calmly, “Yes. Now take your cycle—we are going back.”

Confused, Jagdeep asked, “Guru Ji, where is the buffalo?”
Guru Ji simply said, “Start pedaling. Let’s go home.”

Worried about what the villagers might say, Jagdeep expressed his concern:
“Guru Ji, I am not worried about myself—I am worried about your reputation. If they do not see the buffalo, they will mock you.”

Guru Maharaj Ji laughed lovingly and said,
“Drop me off and go back. You will find your buffalo peacefully eating grass beside the well.”

He also added,
“I could have brought the buffalo out instantly, but divine mercy is never meant to be displayed in front of all. That is why I asked everyone to leave. God’s power works silently.”

And exactly as Guru Maharaj Ji said, when Jagdeep returned after dropping Guru Ji home, he found his buffalo calmly grazing near the well—rescued by the silent grace of the Guru.
