3India is a land blessed by great saints and divine messengers. Since ancient times, it has been guided by spiritual wisdom and righteousness. Yet, over the years, this sacred land has faced many challenges.
In this era of Kalyug, one of the greatest challenges before us is to protect our young generation from the growing dangers of drugs, alcoholism, and addiction.
Some states are witnessing alarming impacts, with many young lives being affected by substance abuse. This is not just a regional issue—it is a concern for the entire nation.
Punjab, the pure and sacred land of the Gurus, is now facing this painful reality. The teachings that once guided generations toward truth and strength are now being overshadowed by the rising problem of addiction among its youth.
This is the land of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who sacrificed everything— family, comfort, and every second of apji's life—for the betterment of society. This is also the land of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who devoted his life to spreading truth, purity, and divine wisdom.
This sacred soil carries the spiritual presence and blessings of the divine, associated with Lord Shiva and many other enlightened souls.
Today, it is our responsibility to stand up and protect this land of purity and divine energy from being destroyed by addiction and moral decline.
We must come together to safeguard our youth—the future of our nation—and awaken those who are trapped in the darkness of drugs and alcoholism.
Let us rise, unite, and take a stand to protect our children, our culture, and the sacred legacy of our great spiritual masters.

Guru Maharaj Ji inspires us to take a pledge against drugs and addiction—to save God’s people and preserve the purity of this sacred land, while following the teachings of the great saints who have guided us since ages.
Pledge:
We promise ourselves— (as we are the gurus of our own minds. Whatever the mind believes and seeks, it eventually follows and becomes)..So today, we guide our minds towards righteousness, and to seek God’s mercy to give us the strength and courage to walk on this path.
With folded hands, remembering God—
We, the people of India (Bharat), with deep faith in God and our Gurus, and with full determination have always wished for us. For this very purpose, our Gurus and great saints have made immense sacrifices—for us and for this sacred land—so that we may live a better and righteous life.
We pray, with the mercy of Guru Nanak Ji, Shri Ram Ji, Shri Krishna Ji, Mahadev Ji, and all divine messengers, that we strengthen our mindset and take initiative to protect our people—especially the youth—from the dangers of drug addiction.
We seek God’s grace to fulfill this pledge, to save ourselves and our loved ones from this destructive trap, and to protect the soul, life, and sacred land gifted by the Divine.

A Divine Pledge for a Drug-Free Nation || युवा बचाओ, देश बचाओ – नशे को ना कहो
We pledge to make our society and our country free from drugs (Nasha Mukti). We will make sincere efforts to reach every home, raise awareness against drug addiction, and support those who are trapped in it by giving them a helping hand.
Such selfless service (sewa) is considered the highest form of service in the court of God—working for the betterment of His creation. Just as Guru Nanak Dev Ji devoted his entire life for the upliftment of humanity, we too commit ourselves to this noble cause.
We also appeal to the government to create more job opportunities for the younger generation, so they can stay engaged in meaningful work, earn a livelihood, and responsibly support their families.
By obeying our parents and Guru, and by walking on the path of the Guru’s teachings, we will protect ourselves and take initiative to make our country free from drug addiction—restoring it to the way our Gurus envisioned it.
We humbly pray to God to bless us with strength and grace so that we may fulfill this pledge.

Stop Drug Addiction from India || एक पहल कई ज़िंदगियाँ बचा सकती है।
Just like a train engine has the power to pull many coaches—whether 10, 15, or more— we, the children of God, also hold the power to save at least 4–5 or more people from the trap of drug addiction.
Drug addiction kills over time. It makes a person dependent and slowly reduces both lifespan and the quality of health.
Wherever we see this in our surroundings, we must step forward—save ourselves first, then our loved ones, and gradually the society. We can do this through awareness, support, and every effort within our capacity.
We are people of God, here to live better lives and to help make this land function the way God always intended.
